K’gari Field Trip is a workshop program conducted on World Heritage listed K’gari in Queensland, Australia, across 4 days and 3 nights. It offers a unique opportunity for artists to explore the convergence of art, science, technology and the environment with a focus on sound and deep listening. 

The workshop program will encourage interdisciplinary thinking, collaboration and experimentation supported by cutting-edge technologies. Grounded in a respect for Indigenous knowledges, the program will offer embodied experiences and the opportunity to connect with and learn from Butchulla/Badtjala traditional owners.  

About K’gari

K’gari is a UNESCO World Heritage site and part of the Great Sandy Biosphere Reserve, located in the Southeast Queensland Bioregion of eastern Australia. K’gari is the largest sand island in the world and home to a complex ecosystem of sand dunes and lakes with subtropical forests growing solely on sand.
