DESCRIPTION:K’gari Field Trip is a workshop program conducted on World He
 ritage listed K’gari in Queensland\, Australia\, across 4 days and 3 nig
 hts. It offers a unique opportunity for artists to explore the convergence
  of art\, science\, technology and the environment with a focus on sound a
 nd deep listening. \nThe workshop program will encourage interdisciplinar
 y thinking\, collaboration and experimentation supported by cutting-edge t
 echnologies. Grounded in a respect for Indigenous knowledges\, the program
  will offer embodied experiences and the opportunity to connect with and l
 earn from Butchulla/Badtjala traditional owners.  \n\n\n\n\nAbout K’ga
 ri\nK’gari is a UNESCO World Heritage site and part of the Great Sandy B
 iosphere Reserve\, located in the Southeast Queensland Bioregion of easter
 n Australia. K’gari is the largest sand island in the world and home to 
 a complex ecosystem of sand dunes and lakes with subtropical forests growi
 ng solely on sand.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the K'gari Research Station\nUni
 SC’s K’gari Research Station is a base to explore\, research\, learn a
 nd stay on the world’s largest sand island\, offering participants the u
 nique opportunity to explore K’gari’s unique ecosystems.\n\n\n\n
