On World Listening Day 2026, Soundtrackcity will provide a rare live audio stream from the Dutch Wadden Sea coast.
A multitude of different bird species forage on the large mudflats of the Wadden Sea. At high tide, they all seek refuge in higher areas. Our live stream, placed precisely in one of these higher areas, gives you the chance to hear the gathering of the birds from your home. Be sure to listen at night when the birds are especially vocal. There are also fewer mechanical sounds at night, such as those from ferries, fishing boats, and the nearby military training area.
