An immersive field recording experience
Join us at MatrixLab for a unique all-day listening event, where the forest becomes both guide and companion. Designed to unfold over the course of a full day – from sunrise through twilight to the deep night – this continuous sound program invites visitors to listen with their entire bodies, immersing themselves in a sonic landscape shaped by nature’s subtle rhythms.
Featuring a curated selection of high-quality field recordings from the Slovenian Goriška region and the Italian Friuli Venezia Giulia, the installation offers an intimate journey through forests and shores, from birdsong and rustling canopies to the delicate stirrings of nocturnal life.
These recordings are not just sounds – they are maps of connection. As trees sway and creatures stir, the vibrations echo within us, tuning us to the hidden pulse of the Earth. In this space, hearing becomes a full-body experience: a way of perceiving that dissolves boundaries between self and environment.
