We at California Institute of Environmental Design & Management (CIEDM) are holding an evening nature walk at and around the Arcadia Ecohome as a local grassroots event to support and take part in the global celebrations of two important awareness campaigns: The 2026 WLD on July 18 and National Moth Week on July 18-26. The citizen science based bioblitz walk will be guided by Dr. Edward Huang of CIEDM to stroll through the Ecohome’s pocket forest made of 500+ trees, shrubs and vines. The property is a Certified Wildlife Habitat, a Certified Pollinator Habitat, and Certified Monarch Waystation. We are expecting to listen to various nature sounds and to spot moths and other nocturnal creatures as we walk and enjoy the soundscape and nightscape of the forest.
