Artpark premieres western New York’s first celebration of World Listening Day this year with a day of free drop-in activities and artist-led interactive workshops.
Just as we see landscapes, we hear “soundscapes”, the interweaving sounds of our environment. Attune to “Listening to the Weave of Time” guided by four experimental sound artists: Artpark Musician in Residence, Anthony Hyatt, certified Deep Listening facilitator & Artpark Bridges Director, Cynthia Pegado, Paula Sciuk and Doug Tewksbury.
Create your own adventures during collaborative explorations of our sonic environment:
Discover Sound & Movement Dialogs; Listen using special prompts from Pauline Oliveros’ famous text scores; Add to the soundscape with walking chimes and found objects, and much more!
