 tional Park is located on the western seaboard in northwest Mayo\, Ireland
 .This area is a haven for nature to thrive and covers a vast 15\,000 hecta
 res of unspoilt wilderness\, dominated by the Nephin Beg mountain range.Be
 gining on July 18th for World Listening Day join sound artist Anne Marie D
 eacy for a two hour sonic glimpse into this wonderfully diverse habitat\, 
 through a live streamed deep listening into Wild Nephin Park from 12pm to

 ening celebrating the Wilderland Project and World Listening Day 2024.Anne
  Marie Deacy is a commissioned artist on the Wilderland public art &amp\; 
 community ecology project in Mayo. This project aims to raise awareness fo
 r biodiversity and foster support for Wild Nephin National Park – Páirc
  Náisiúnta Néifinne Fiáine and its conversion plan to restore Nephin F
 orest and create a wilderness sanctuary for biodiversity and habitat prese
 rvation\, through a two-year programme of embedded research\, public art\,
  engagement\, creative community workshops which will culminate in site-re
 sponsive artworks.Wilderland is led by artist Elaine Harrington\, supporte
 d by The National Parks and Wildlife Services\, Mayo County Council Arts S
 ervice and funded by Creative Ireland’s Climate Action Fund.Locus Sonus 
 Stream Project is a network of open microphones that stream the captured a
 udio environment live from locations spread around the globe .They provide
  the technology and support for this project and the microphones are maint
 ained by a network of sound artists. Over the last ten years this project 
 has developed from a single remote microphone\, to become a worldwide pool
 ed resource used by numerous artists and enjoyed by countless listeners.
