This project aims to raise awareness fo r biodiversity and foster support for Wild Nephin National Park – Páirc Náisiúnta Néifinne Fiáine and its conversion plan to restore Nephin F orest and create a wilderness sanctuary for biodiversity and habitat prese rvation\, through a two-year programme of embedded research\, public art\, engagement\, creative community workshops which will culminate in site-re sponsive artworks.Wilderland is led by artist Elaine Harrington\, supporte d by The National Parks and Wildlife Services\, Mayo County Council Arts S ervice and funded by Creative Ireland’s Climate Action Fund.Locus Sonus Stream Project is a network of open microphones that stream the captured a udio environment live from locations spread around the globe .They provide the technology and support for this project and the microphones are maint ained by a network of sound artists.
