The performance will involve modulation, transforming the field recordings into a captivating sonic experience that reflects my personal connection with the environment.
Following the performance, I will share insights into my creative process and the significance of Gazelle Valley. I believe this event aligns perfectly with the ethos of World Listening Day, as it explores the profound relationship between listening, ecology, and our collective future.

This year, instead of a theme, World Listening Day asks us to consider how listening can connect us to territory and to other living beings. What better way to do that than engage with the ecological crisis of our very own surroundings. Join us on Burnaby Mountain for a walk that will earwitness the habitat loss, deforestation and encroachment of the Trans Mountain Pipeline project. Let’s notice, connect with, and care for the vitality of the forest, towards ecologically just futures.
